Smoke Cleansing Set

Sage belongs to a family of plants named Salvia, the word Salvia comes from the Latin word Salvere, which means 'to heal'.

The burning of Sage, fragrant herbs and resins is an ancient practise dating all the way back to ancient Egypt & Rome & is sacred to many native communities, maybe most notably by Native Americans. This is a smoke cleansing set ~ 'Smudging' is a highly traditional, ceremonial ritual among indigenous communities like the Native Americans which is used to spiritually cleanse, purify and rid people & places of negative energy. 

Guide of Use
With respect to the ancient indigenous traditions this ritual has connections to, set an intention of what you want to release before beginning your cleanse.
Ventilate the room by opening a door or window to let the smoke & energies move about the room freely.
Using a matchstick flame ~ hold the Sage at 45 degree angle & light the end pointing downward. Let the flame burn for about 20 seconds before gently blowing out the flame. 
Follow the same directions for the Palo Santo, but leave to burn for about 30 seconds.
When you see orange embers at the end & the smoke start to billow up, you can gently 
waft the smoke around your space or around you jewellery & crystals to 
cleanse & neutralise the energy. 
Leave the Palo Santo to burn in the Abalone Shell.
You can leave the Sage to burn a little longer in the Abalone Shell or put it out by 
pressing the burning tip into the shell (or ceramic dish/ fireproof dish).
Keep it dry & you can relight/reuse it at another time.
Be careful not to touch the shell if you left the sage burning in it - it gets super hot to the touch ~ wait until it has fully burnt out and cooled down.

To avoid cultural appropriation we use the term 'Smoke Cleanse' & our supplier works directly with a family in California who hand forage the wild sage with the upmost care & respect for the plant.
Our Palo Santo is supplied by a company that work directly with a sustainable
source in Ecuador who work with the local government & community to plant
new trees. They plant around 4000 new trees per year.
Our White Sage wild crafted and is supplied by a company that works directly 
with a family in Southern California. They hand forage the Sage taking great 
care of the plants they harvest and never over harvesting.
All items are natural form items and for this the all vary slightly in size, form & colour.

Materials

What is Gold Filled?

GF is where gold is mechanically bonded to a base metal, we use jewellers brass.
By law it must be at least 5% or 1/20 of gold by weight.

In contrast standard gold plating is usually a microscopic amount of gold which is why it easily peels or flakes, exposing the under layer.

Because the 14k 'gold filled' layer is so much thicker than standard gold plating it’s much higher quality and can last for 10-30 years.

Limit exposure to direct heat and sunlight.Keep your jewellery dry and put on after application of cosmetics and body products and lotions.

We strongly advise against wearing your jewellery at the beach, swimming pool, bathing or whilst playing sports.

Sea water and particularly chlorine and related products can severely discolour and damage your jewellery.

Limit contact with rough surfaces and other metals to avoid scratching and changes in colour.

Always remove your jewellery before going to bed and ideally keep in your original jewellery box provided with your purchase ♡
